1992년 일본

온천 설립자인 찰스는 일본 여행을 하면서  온천 목욕에 매료되게 됩니다.

야외 온천이 호주에서 구체적으로 만들어 질 수 있을까를 고민하다가 

찰스는 일본에서 돌아오는 길에 1979년에 모닝턴 반도에서 뜨거운 온천수가 발견되었다는 것을 알게 되었습니다.

그래서 찰스와 리처드 데이비슨 두 형제는 1997년에 모닝턴페닌슐라 온천을 설립하게 됩니다.

지하 637미터의 시추공을 54도의 천연 뜨거운 미네랄 워터의 대수층에 뚫었을 때 축포를 터뜨렸다고 하죠.

모닝턴페닌슐라(Peninsula Hot Springs) 온천은 2010년 제1회 빅토리아 관광상을 수상하며 우수성을 인정받았고,

빅토리아 관광대상 건강 및 웰빙, 관광지 및 생태관광 부문 명예의 전당에 헌액되었습니다.

안에 입장하시면 온천이외에 즐길거리가 많답니다. 

마사지를 받거나 카페에서 피자,샐러드,버거,커피등을 즐기실수 있습니다.
